SSC CHSL Syllabus 2019: The SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) exam, SSC CHSL in short, is conducted every year by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). It is a three-tier exam that is conducted to fill up vacancies for a wide range of posts in various government offices and departments. Some of the posts that come under SSC CHSL exam are - Postal Assistants/ Sorting Assistants (PA/SA), Court Clerks, Data Entry Operators (DEO), Lower Division Clerks (LDC), etc.

SSC CHSL Syllabus - Computer Based Written Exam (Tier-I)

The Computer - Based Written Test, as mentioned above, has four sections:

SSC CHSL Syllabus : Descriptive Test (Tier-II)

As mentioned above,  the SSC CHSL Tier 2 - Descriptive Test asks you to write essay and letter/application.

Essay topics are usually any current social, political, economic or cultural issue. For letter/application writing, expect official topics. But it is always better to be aware of letter formats of all types.

The SSC CHSL Tier II will take place in Pen and Paper Mode.

⚫ The minimum qualifying marks in Tier - II would 33%.

⚫ The performance in Tier II would be included for preparing merit.

⚫ You have to write the paper either in Hindi or in English Part paper written in Hindi and Part in English will not be evaluated.

SSC CHSL Syllabus : Tier - III

Tier - III of the Examination would continue to be the Skill Test/Typing Test which would be of qualifying nature. The final merit of the successful candidates would be determined on the basis of total score obtained by them i Tier-I and Tier-II.

Skill test for Data Entry Operator :

⚫ Data Entry Speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer.

⚫ The Speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on Computer will be adjudged on the basis of the correct entry of words/key depressions s per the given passage.

⚫ Duration of the speed Test will be 15 (Fifteen) minutes and printed matter in English containing 2000-2200 strokes/key-depressions would be given to you to entire in the Computer.

⚫ VH/OH (afflicted by Cerebral Palsy) and OH with a deformity in writing hand (with 40% disability and above) will be allowed 35 minutes including compensatory tie 20 minutes for the skill test.
